New article: “Ending financial discrimination for cancer survivors: embedding the Right to be Forgotten in legislation across Europe”

On 14 August 2024, a new article titled “Ending Financial Discrimination for Cancer Survivors: Embedding the Right to be Forgotten in Legislation Across Europe” was published in The Lancet Oncology. It is authored by Prof. Mark Lawler, Dr. Grazia Scocca, and Dr. Françoise Meunier. 

The article highlights how, despite significant advances in cancer treatment and rising survival rates, many cancer survivors face ongoing financial discrimination. It advocates for the Right to be Forgotten to be embedded in European legislation to support survivors in resuming normal lives without undue financial burdens.
